Who can apply for the M1 course?
For entry into the Master 1 Environment, Energy & Transport, the profiles allowing you to integrate the specialization are:
- a degree in economics (with advanced skills in microeconomics, mathematics, statistics); a degree in mathematics, or mathematics and computer science applied to social sciences or management;
- or a bac + 3 level in science (physics, engineering, biology, etc.) with a good foundation in mathematics and statistics, the quantitative dimension being important in the teaching.
A motivation for environmental, energy or bio-economy issues is an important asset, candidates pre-selected on file are interviewed on their motivation and skills.
What skills are developed during the course?
- Know how to use statistical and econometric tools to address a complex problem.
- Master and know how to apply the concepts of economic theory to analyze the impacts of the energy and ecological transition.
- Develop multi-criteria analysis methods in the development of strategic intervention choices.
- Model and quantify an economic phenomenon (econometrics, operational research, simulation methods).
- Understand the mechanisms and institutions at work in public policies and negotiation strategies.
